Second, our primary motivation for the site is as a service to the technical community - both engineers and management. We are software developers ourselves, and over the years we have seen IT employment progressively become outsourced to recruiters. We strongly feel that both engineers and managers are poorly served by this approach. We want to provide the community with an alternative: an easy means for managers to post directly without having their ads swamped by anonymous generic recruiter ads, and an easy mechanism for developers to search for direct connections to potential employers. Our goal is to provide a service, not to get rich off of it.
Postings will remain free for the forseeable future. If we do eventually charge a fee, it will be to cover our costs and will be nominal.
You benefit yourself by direct-posting your position to engineers that care about the company they will be working for. You can also benefit the IT community at large by supporting a direct-hiring venue.
Matching great companies with great developers - that's the goal. Try it out!
